PostSubject: Some Newbie Questions   Sun May 22, 2011 3:57 pm

Hi, looking forward to the game, but I have some questions about the world and campaign.

Is there a primer or summary of what the world/campaign is like?

Are there any setting specifics in regard to things like deities, alignments, race locations (such as capital cities or countries?)

How much of our character's backstory and origins can we make up and still stay appropriate to the setting? Are there specific traits and characteristics to follow, such as naming, where a character can be from, or what they may have done before becoming an adventurer?

There is no primer yet. The campaign setting is kind of a mixture of Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance. The primary overworld map is from Forgotten Realms, but you are free to use elements from either setting. The Towers of High Sorcery is what I'm most interested in from DL, everything else will assume FR to be the "primary" setting. No need to worry too much over regions or locations at this point.

As for backstory, that's entirely up to you. I reserve the right to request edits of course, but your character / your story. Have fun and create the kind of character you'll enjoy playing.
